GIVE ME COLOR!

so after being on hiatus for almost 2 full semesters, my dance group made a triumphant and memorable come back last night during the Zeta Phi Beta's annual fashion show at my school!

we brought the campus to candy land and showed them why we've been on campus for so long. i got the chance to do the group's makeup...i was going for a dramatic, candyish, colorful look. due to some time dependencies i wasn't able to get closeup pictures of two of the girl's, one of them i absolutely loved!

MIA/Spring Favs So Far

Where you Been?

i know, i know...it's been a minute, but i'm still without my computer (need a new charger) and school has been kicking my butt lately...

but i have been browsing and will soon be buying a couple of springy things that i've recently seen and love. MAC released the HK collection, and while i love HK i am broke...so once i have the funds, if what i originally wanted is still available then i'll get it...

but one collection that i'm absolutely loving that i will most def get before the HK is creamteam! the lipstick and lipglass that i want is LAVENDER WHIP and EVER SO RICH...this lilac-esque purple is so in for spring and is one of the colors i'll be wearing in the future months.

since i'm currently in the boons i have to order mac online...the lipstick is sold out on the mac website, but i did find it on a department store's website, so i will be getting that...

another color that i'm def wearing this spring is yellow! i got my email from sephora talking about their new spring nail polishes and the yellow definately popped.

so i'm beyond ready for the bright colors and fun in the sun, but how about you? let me know what colors you're craving to wear during the upcoming seasono! leave a comment below!

VALENTINE'S DAY IS FEB. 14!

people have their own opinions and feelings towards the one day it's okay to have a little chocolate, Valentine's Day. regardless if you're pro v-day or anti v-day, i've pulled a couple of things that may spark your interest, wardrobe-wise, for that iffy/special day...

rather it's to work, play or get all lovey dovey in...these three sites make picking something to represent in oh so easy and inexpensive...

Another Winter Storm

my area was one of the areas affected by the winter storm that hit yesterday and is still going strong. we had a big ice storm last year around this time that shut the schools down. school was canceled today, but the bf still had to work. he had to drive my car since his isn't working...he got stuck this morning but we were able to get the car out of the hole.

i had just finished watching "bad girls club" and was starting in on "the real housewives of orange county" but i couldn't really concentrate because i heard this car making all of this noise outside. after 30 minutes i got frustrated and went to look outside and saw the bf trying to shovel my car out of the snow...

so i had to put on clothes and go help him, i took over shoveling after a while and we were able to move the car a few feet, but i gave up because the cold was getting to me. i broke a nail on my right middle finger, my left ring finger is swollen and i'll probably be sick for the first time this season...

my poor car's still out there stuck, but luckily they canceled school for tomorrow...i can still hear the ice hitting the windows.

Fighting Myself.

right now where i am with everything...i don't know what i want to do. i feel so displaced and not where i want to be or need to be in everything. i know everything happens for a reason and God never puts more on you than you can bare, but i'm tired.

i look at everything around me and question why it is the way it is or what's so different that everything seems to be harder for me. i feel like i'm drowning from so much stuff and i keep asking God when will i get out.

idk, i'm just ready to move on from where i am right now. you can't live life to the fullest if it's always slapping you in the face. i protect myself from so many people...why should i give so much when no one wants to listen...

i'm fighting myself to get over it, make it through and move to the next phase of life. i just wish the phase was a little more happier.

He's Official!!

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA!!

so, i know i'm a little late...later posting the most other blogs, but it's been a long day and i just wanted to get this in before the day actually ended.

i saw history be made to day as the first african american president was sworn in (i skipped class and everything, ssshhh!) but it was a wonderful ceremony and the obamas looked beautiful as usual. i also caught some of the commander in cheif ball footage (i hope i said it right...)

but all in all it's been a wonderful and historical day! so to leave you all...a couple of pics of the fit today...
